My Dutch driver’s license was going to expire in October, so I had to renew it. Instead of renewing it at the embassy, I was told to get a Danish one instead. This one is valid until the day I turn 70
No more renewing fees every ten years, yay! Though I wonder how long I could drive with it in Holland if I’d move back (no plans).

Does it state “Holland” or “Nederlandene” (The Netherlands) as country of birth?
Since some Dutchmen complained about it and sent their licence back, the Danish Borgerservice sends a new driver’s licence stating “Nederlandene”. It does not cost a penny, but I guess they only do it on demand.

It says “Holland”, which is fine for me, because I was born in North Holland

Did you have to take a medical to get a danish driverslicense?

Well, you can hardly call it a thorough exam, but yeah, you have to go to the doctor to get an attest.
