It was nice and sunny (but very cold) this sunday and went for a bike tour to the harbor area on the north-east side of Copenhagen. Also includes the new theater (which will open in a few weeks). Looks pretty awesome! Check out the pictures here!

learning

The last 2 days I learned:

  • How to alter vector objects in photoshop (shift-A is your friend)
  • What your Basal Metabolic Rate is
  • What lokum’er means in Danish
  • The history behind røv and ræv
  • That Macedonian is not considered a separate language by the Bulgarians, and that they can get quite emotional about that
  • That gussuri oyasumi means sleep tight in Japanese

food delivery

Friday, January 18th, 2008

Why can meal delivery in Amsterdam, and most other dutch cities, be free (usually at a minimum order of 10 euro/74 dkk) and must cost a fortune here in Copenhagen? For example, I’m craving for Indian or Thai food right now, but I have to go for my fridge leftovers..

The only positve side of this is that Amsterdam is filled with annoying scooters and mopeds while Copenhagen is not. I’m not yet sure what I’d prefer..

IronFor the first time in my life, I bought an iron and an ironing board! I feel so old now!

Also, when I came home, I realized I got a Philips iron, and a Brabantia ironing board. I’m not dutch, am I?
