Well, as a former Rotterdam resident I must agree. I too was surprised by the friendly attitude of the people. Foreigners might need to get used to the direct Rotterdam-like approach. A true “Rotterdamer” will always tell you what’s on his mind and never tries to wrap their opinions in some diplomatic BS. But that’s where the cute and friendly accent helps out
