obesity

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Isn’t it ironic? I’m doing a consultancy job for a project for obese people!

It’ll be a very cool project though!

I’ve been spotting people with white hats all over town the last few days. It must be some sectarian group with bombs hidden on their head!

sankt hans

Sankt HansLike I wrote in last post, my friend Robin was over for Sankt Hans (the Danish midsummer night). Traditionally they burn the heathens on this night and we watched them do this at Islands Brygge after listening to the speech of the mayor of København.

le creuset

Le Creuset My good friend Robin was over for the weekend and we ended up in Magasin Du Nord, the most awesome shopping mall in Denmark, and…. the whole cooking department was on a 30% sale! They sell the whole range of Le Creuset pans there. If you know these pans than you probably also know that 30% off one of those pans is quite a good deal. Needless to say, I went home with a new skillet and a big casserole :) I found out that Le Creuset makes tagines too, I think I’ll get one of those next time.

Also: These pans need to be used, so I’m inviting everyone for dinner!

5/4

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

I’m very fond of music in almost any form, from minimalistic experimental contemporary classical, via britpop, to world music crossovers, and anything in between. I like it complex, I like it simple.

I’ve realized this a few times before, but I must write it down now:

I worship songs written in 5/4 beats!

Some examples currently on my ipod:
- The Pyramid Song by Radiohead, one of my personal favorites from Radiohead
- Take Five by Dave Brubeck, the classic example of 5/4
- 5/4 by The Gorillaz, figures :)
- Soft Mistake by Lamb
- Hangin’ Tree by Queens of the Stone Age, I’m going to see this awesome band in 2 weeks!

I’m sure Sting did something in 5/4, I can’t find it though. He did I came to my senses in 7/4, which also pretty cool.

There must be more, share with me!

Ok, here we go again. This time from another number!

Girl x: Hej piger :) Tak for en vildt lækker dag :) <3

Me: Hey sweet, we’re at k-bar, come join us!

Girl x: Hvad…?

Girl x: Er det ik camilla?

Me: Nope

Girl x: Ups!

Someone at k-bar using my phone: Hehe no, det er bare mig. Hvad sker der, sunshine?

Girl x: Hold da helt kæft der blev jeg godt nok lidt nervøs :)

Update: Oh shit… I realized this time it could actually have been a guy!

Update 2: Oh wait, I remember double checking with a female colleague from Hello, and she said that the first sentence was almost certain to be from a girl..
