The new Metro underground extension to Copenhagen International Airport will open a month ahead of schedule, reported Berlingske Tidende newspaper Friday.

‘It’s very satisfying that we’re able to open the third stage of the Metro ahead of schedule and within the budget,’ said Jens Kramer Mikkelsen, the corporation’s managing director.

So why do Dutch building projects ALWAYS finish later than schedule and way over budget?

    In Ukraine building projects never finish. Idle talks and nothing more. Your case is not the worst case, I believe.

    I think this is the only part of this project, or any building project in Denmark for that matter, that has been ahead of schedule..

    Believe me, the Metro will make of for the won time in delays in departure :)

    I think you don’t get the full story here. They had a lot of problems in Cph too. Not enough money, having to change deadlines again and again. I think this story is published to give a good impression (for once). In some views Denmark IS better than the Netherlands, but most of the time… it’s exactly the same! ;-)

    yeah the only reason they even mention it, is that they usually some years behind schedule.
