To buy a bike, or not to buy a bike. That is the question!

I mean, I have a really nice and good bike back in Amsterdam. And a new good one here (there seems to be no second hand bike market) would cost me around 4000 dkk. I have no clear idea on when I can move my stuff from Amsterdam to København, so maybe I should just buy a bike and keep my Amsterdam one as a spare for visitors and such..

Fisketorvet not cool, Magasin Du Nord cool!

I did find a good bakery and supermarket inside Fisketorvet though.

One of the most important things in life I find supermarkets. I want to feel happy at my local shop. This week I learned:

Fakta = not cool; Superbrugsen = cool!

Other news: I entered the Danish bureaucracy today by registering at the Statsamt :/

I managed to find a temporary house through the Gods of the Internet. I can only stay here till the end of May, but it’s really awesome! The photo shows the view, and actually the apartment I’m in is the same as the buildings across the street.
The only downside is that the street is named the ’shooting range’, so I’ll have to wear a bulletproof jacket.

I’m babysitting my cat Kees this easter. And even though he has lived somewhere else for almost two years now, he felt at home instantly. He’s also very good in helping me pack some stuff.

And… my kitchen is flooded. I forgot he likes to play with water

Perks at work today:
- Massage at 13:00
- Påskebryg (easter beer) at 18:00
- Public holiday until tuesday

So, I was walking down the street in Vesterbro yesterday evening, trying to
find some food. And suddenly I found myself in this street filled with
massage parlors. Fishy of course… I walked around the corner, and BOOM,
red light district!

Every dutchie knows that you will find the best Thai food in the red
light district though. And I must say, it’s been a while since I had
such a lovely green curry! Mmmmmmm!

Woot! I survived my first real day in København! So exhausted though. Didn’t sleep on saturday till 6am and had to get up at 5am on monday.

Today I took the bus from the apartment I’m staying this week to work. And I must say, the Danish public transport is quite sophisticated. Never had to wait longer than 2 minutes.

I signed my contract last tuesday. It’s impressive, it has 15 pages of ø’s and æ’s!

I visited my friend Stefan in Nice (Fr) this weekend. Even though it rained on saturday, we had a lovely time in Antibe, Nice, and Monaco. Including the awesome Musée Océanographique.
